Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@secondfloorstuff.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address:

Brayan Valenzuela
al. Niepodległości 150,
00-608 Warszawa
Poland
+48 795493489

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

You can always contact us for any return question at hello@secondfloorstuff.com.

Free Returns in Poland

We offer free returns in Poland for orders over 300 PLN. If your order meets this requirement, you can return it at no extra cost. Please ensure that the item is in its original condition and packaging. For more details on how to initiate a return, visit our returns policy page.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@secondfloorstuff.com.

  • Paypal

In the event of cancellations or returns, refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
    Please note the following:

    • For payments made via PayPal, any non-refundable fees charged by PayPal will be deducted from the total refund amount.

    • Any other direct costs related to processing your order (such as banking fees or administrative costs) will also be deducted from the refund.

    • The final refundable amount will be communicated to the customer before the process is completed.

Our goal is to ensure a fair process for both the customer and our store, avoiding losses associated with external administrative expenses.

Vinyl Condition Grading at Second Floor Stuff

At Second Floor Stuff, we follow the Goldmine Standard (as expanded by the Discogs community) to grade the condition of all used vinyl in our shop. Below you’ll find the definitions we use—so you know exactly what to expect when your record arrives.

Mint (M)

Absolutely perfect in every way. Never played and possibly still sealed. Use sparingly.

Near Mint (NM or M-)

A nearly perfect record. Very likely never played; will play flawlessly with no audible imperfections. Cover and any inserts show only the most minor handling marks.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

A VG+ record shows signs of having been played and handled with care. Cosmetic defects only—slight scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect playback. Slightly turned-up corners or minor seam splits on the sleeve are acceptable.

Very Good (VG)

A VG record has more pronounced surface noise and light scratches that may be audible in quiet passages, but won’t overpower the music. Sleeve may show writing, tape residue, or more noticeable seam wear.

Good / Good Plus (G / G+)

Playable from start to finish, but with significant surface noise, ticks, or pops. Sleeve will exhibit seam splits, heavy ring wear, or other obvious defects.

Poor / Fair (P / F)

Heavily damaged: warped or cracked vinyl that may skip or repeat. Sleeve is water-damaged, torn, or barely holds the record. This grade is for collectors who require full disclosure of serious defects.

Returns & Refunds Policy for Used Vinyl

Please note: all used vinyl purchases are final sale. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on second-hand records. This policy ensures transparency and fairness for both buyers and sellers in our marketplace.

  1. Functionality Guarantee
We personally inspect every used vinyl to confirm it plays correctly before shipping. While minor cosmetic imperfections are consistent with the grade, we guarantee there are no unplayable defects.

  2. No Returns or Refunds
Once a second-hand vinyl is sold, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We encourage you to review condition grades carefully and reach out with any pre-purchase questions.

  3. Further Details
For complete information on our policies, visit our Returns & Exchanges page.

By purchasing a used vinyl from Second Floor Stuff, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our grading standards and final sale policy.
